Terms of Service

1. The Service

BillSheet lets you upload images of bills, receipts, and invoices, uses artificial intelligence to extract data from them, and produces a downloadable Excel (.xlsx) file. Scanning and preview are provided free of charge; downloading the formatted Excel file requires payment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your responsibilities

• You confirm that you own, or are authorised to upload and process, the bills and documents you submit.
• You will not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, including uploading content you have no right to use, or attempting to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping any files you download secure.

4. AI accuracy — important

The Service uses automated, AI-based extraction. The output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and is provided for your convenience only. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted data before relying on it. The Service does not provide accounting, tax, financial, legal, or other professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such. Always verify figures against your original documents.

5. Payments and pricing

Prices are shown on the Service and are payable through our third-party payment processor, Razorpay. You agree to pay the amount displayed at checkout. We may change prices and plans at any time; changes do not affect transactions already completed. Amounts are subject to applicable taxes as indicated.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain all rights to the bills you upload and the data extracted for you, and you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Anthropic for AI processing and Razorpay for payments. Your use of those features may also be subject to the respective third party’s terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that extracted data will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any reliance on inaccurate extracted data. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
